It seems an oxymoron: when tackling standardized tests, one size does not fit all. We take great care to help students formulate a test-taking strategy that aligns with their individual strengths, weaknesses, and goals. Approaches include:
- Detailed analysis of student skill gaps through diagnostic tests
- Thousands of skill-building drills on key concepts
- Student-specific and tailored test-taking strategies
- Official practice tests in a timed classroom environment
- Online platform that tracks student progress
- Ongoing advice and guidance about score reporting and strategy
Students with Learning Differences
Our instructors are experienced in working with students with learning differences including ADD, ADHD, executive function, dyslexia, and a variety of non-verbal and language or math-based challenges. Many of such students enter our work together conditioned to believe that they are "terrible test-takers," and carry significant test anxiety. Using tailored approaches and an emphasis on confidence-building, we've enjoyed some of our greatest successes with students with learning challenges. If your child is on an IEP or 504 plan, he or she may be eligible for special accommodations on the SAT or ACT. We can also offer advice on how to improve your chances of approval for special accommodations. Call 781.526.4192 to learn more.
