We're on a mission to help local students explore their career interests. We are kickstarting an initiative to link local students to local internships, job shadows, or informational interviews. We'll tap into the strength of our communities- and the parents and businesses within. The concept is one of give and take-- parents will offer opportunities to students, and students will gain critical experience!

An Idea in the Making
HomeTown Interns is a kernel of an idea, but one that already has lots of community support! We need you to help us create the vision and execute on the plan. We envision a profile sharing platform in which students may post their profiles and search for opportunities, and in which parents and businesses post their expertise and offerings.
Why we need it
- Apart from grades and SAT/ACT scores, the single most compelling factor in college application is your personal story. You tell this story through your essays and your extracurriculars.
- We've worked with thousands of high school and college students, and the vast majority either have a passion they wish to pursue, or they are clueless about their career aspirations. Access to professional experiences is the single best way to figure it all out!
- Getting an internship is competitive-and often students are too busy to travel long distances to workplaces. That's why keeping it local is key!
