Summer Biology Program for NUVU Students
In this 8-week class, students will gain familiarity with key topics in biology, complete specific homework activities, and complete fun and interactive hands-on labs both at home and at school.
Topics include:
- Biochemsitry
- Reaction and Cells
- Energy
- Cell Growth and Reproduction
- Genetics
- Protein Synthesis
- Evolution
- Ecology and Conservation
Classes will meet online twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10-11:30 am from July 1st through August 24th. Students will also meet twice during the summer to complete in-person labs.
Students will receive a narrative report for transcript purposes following the completion of the course.
Your Instructors
Lead Instructor- Jessica Jones
One of our most requested tutors for her easy going style and ability to "make tough stuff easy, " Jessica Jones has 9 years of teaching experience, in Biology and AP Biology. She has been tutoring for more than 11 years in areas including the ACT and SAT, the MCAT, biology, chemistry, algebra and geometry. Jessica graduated with a degree in Biology from Texas A&M and a Master's degree in Biology and Education from the University of North Texas. In her free time, Jessica trains and shows dressage horses and hangs out with her husband and two dogs.
